Dean's Biog :
I started out in a band and have been playing in the North West since the age of 15. I'd played the The Hacienda, Band on the Wall and the Boardwalk by the time I was 17!
I was with my band Blackout for 6 years when we went our own ways, so I went solo and recorded my first album of my own stuff 'I've Been High' that got recommended in City Life magazine and went down really well in the Stockport area, which led to some wicked gigs at The Brittania Hotel, Manchester Acadamy, 3, Night and Day and my own night I put on at the Band on the Wall where I hired KT Tunstall as my support for 50 quid before she made it !!! She charges a lot more these days !!!
I recorded a second album 'Keep It Coming On' that got me some dream come true gigs!!! Playing The Acadamy, 3 again and main stage at the 2005 Moorfest where I shared the same stage as Mani from the Stone Roses/Primal Scream Tom Hingley (Inspiral Carpets) and Badly Drawn Boy, it was mad! You dream about days like that and when they happen it's quality, it's what the game is all about.
I've got a new line up now and I'm recording a new album that will be out next year. More gigs will follow and I hope they're gonna be just as good.
Being given the opportunity to do my own show and play other peoples' unsigned stuff is a dream come true really as I've been around the music game since being a kid it's nice to put something back in as I've had the best moments of my life out of music.
